Bookings & Cancellations Policy

Please read this Bookings & Cancellations Policy carefully because it applies to services provided by Hex & Hue Style owner (“the Office” or “we/our”) to its clients (the “Client” or “you/your”) and client bookings.

This policy applies to all bookings, whether made through this website https://hexandhue.com.au (the “Website”) or any other means, including but not limited to email, phone, social media or other messaging platforms, or offline. By booking any service with the Office, you are confirming your acknowledgement and acceptance of this Bookings & Cancellations Policy.

Please also see our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy pertaining to your use of this Website, and how we collect, store and protect your personal data.

Changes to the Policy

From time to time the Office may change, remove, add or otherwise modify the Bookings & Cancellations Policy, and reserves the right to do so in its discretion. In that case, the Office will post the updated Bookings & Cancellations Policy and indicate the date of the revision. The Office encourages you to periodically check back here often to review and confirm the current policy terms. All new and/or amended policy terms take effect immediately.

Deposits

A deposit of AUD$100.00 is required in order to secure a booking. Deposits may be paid online using a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer. A booking will not be confirmed until the deposit has been verified as received by the Office.

Your requested date/time will be held for 48 hours from the time the invoice is issued. If the deposit is not paid within 48 hours of the issuance of the invoice (delivered via email) or within 24 hours of the booking time (whichever comes first), the Office reserves the right to cancel the booking request so that the time slot may be made available to others.

Communications

It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure the email address and other details are entered correctly into any booking and contact forms. The Office cannot take responsibility for a booking not going ahead due to incorrectly entered information (we will not be able to contact you or confirm your booking without the correct details).

While the Office takes measures to increase the likelihood of our email correspondence arriving in your inbox, rather than spam or other folders, it is the responsibility of the Client to check for any and all correspondence, and contact the Office (email: [email protected]) if you require further assistance with your booking.

Invoices

We believe in full transparency in pricing. Along with clear price lists on our website, invoices also state the full amount payable for the requested service(s). The amount payable on the day of service is equal to the full amount less any deposits paid. Unless indicated otherwise, all pricing is in Australian dollars (AUD). If you do not agree to pay the full amount as indicated on the Website and confirmed via invoice, you should cease your booking immediately.

If the Client wishes to add additional goods or services on the day at the agreement of the Office, additional amounts payable will be expressly communicated with and agreed to by the Client, and will become part of the amount payable on the day. Surcharges for use of credit cards will be born by the Office and will not be passed onto the client. The Office is not responsible for any other fees issued to you by your bank or payment platforms, or for exchange rates in foreign currencies.

Cancellations & No Shows

Clients may cancel their booking and receive a full refund up to 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Clients who cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time are not eligible for a refund, however, we will happily transfer the deposit over to a new date/time, as is available by the Office, within 12 months (365 days) of the cancelled booking. Clients who do not reschedule their cancelled booking within the 365-day timeframe, will have no further recourse for refund, transfer or compensation.

If the Office is already en route to or has already arrived at an agreed upon mobile location (anywhere that is not the home studio of the Office) at the time of the cancellation, or in the event of a no show regardless of location, the Office reserves the right to retain the deposit to cover our transport costs, preparation and/or travel time, and loss of other business. In such cases, if you wish to reschedule you will need to start a new booking process and pay a new deposit.

Rescheduling

Unless the Office is already en route to a mobile location as indicated above, Clients may reschedule at any time from booking until two hours prior to your appointment time. In such cases, the deposit will be retained by the Office and applied to the new booking.

Clients should note that re-scheduling is subject to the open dates and times available on the Website, and subsequent confirmation by the Office. If another suitable date/time is not available, the Client may request a full refund up to 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time. If cancelling within the 48-hour timeframe, the above-mentioned cancellation terms apply.

Repeated Cancellations & Rescheduling

The Office understands there are times Clients may need to cancel or reschedule. If, however, a Client repeatedly cancels or reschedules, no shows, or stops replying or communicating with the Office, or otherwise gives the Office reason to believe they are not intending to genuinely engage with the service, the Office reserves the right to cancel any current or future bookings from any Client in its sole discretion.

Group Bookings

For bookings of more than one person, the Client who makes the booking request will be considered the contact person for the booking and is responsible for communicating all booking and other provided information with the other members of their booking party.

Should the number of people for the booking or those listed on the booking change prior to the day, it is the responsibility of this primary Client to inform the Office at the earliest possible time. As physical items such as swatches and other materials are provided to Clients during the consultation, it is imperative we are aware ahead of time of the attendees.

The Office is unable to accommodate additional attendees on the day without prior communication and our informed consent. As the pricing schedule is dependent on the number of people booked, please note that changes to the number of Clients may result in a change of pricing and amount payable.

It is the responsibility of the Client group to decide how they wish to pay or split the remaining invoice amount. Split invoicing is available on the day using any of the on-the-day payment methods outlined below.

On-the-day Payments

The balance (the full amount payable minus any deposits received) is payable prior to the commencement of service on the day of service. Payment may be made in-person using ‘tap to pay’ via credit or debit card, supported digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay), or by bank transfer. No refunds will be issued after the commencement of service.

Online Services

Clients requesting online services, such as a Virtual Colour Analysis (Online Colour Analysis), will be required to pay the full service amount upfront. Photos and other requested information will need to be supplied by the Client for completion of this service. If requested data is not provided in a timely manner (as indicated in writing to the Client), the service may take longer than originally expected. In such cases, the Office reserves the right to change the expected delivery of the online service, or cancel an online service, at its sole discretion.

Refunds may be requested until the commencement of an online service. As the Office may commence an online service immediately after receiving requested data, commencement of service for an online service means at the time of submission (including partial submission) of any requested data.

Cancellations by the Office

We will always endeavour to deliver on any confirmed bookings. There may however be times when a scheduling conflict, illness or other situation, including a Force Majeure Event (as defined below), arises in which we may need to cancel or reschedule your booking, including after the commencement of a service. In such cases, we will endeavour to fulfill your appointment as close to your original date/time as possible. If such an arrangement is unsuitable to you, we will process a refund as defined and outlined in the Force Majeure section below.

Force Majeure

The Office reserves the right to cancel a booking, including after commencement of a service, due to a Force Majeure Event or other issue or scheduling conflict that may arise.

A Force Majeure Event means any circumstance not within a party’s reasonable control including, without limitation:
(a) acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake, typhoon or other natural disaster;
(b) epidemic or pandemic;
(c) terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, or breaking off of diplomatic relations;
(d) nuclear, chemical or biological contamination or sonic boom;
(e) any law or any action taken by a government or public authority, including without limitation imposing an export or import restriction, quota or prohibition, [or failing to grant a necessary license or consent];
(f) collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident;
(g) any labour or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts [(other than in each case by the party seeking to rely on this article, or companies in the same group as that party)];
(h) non-performance by suppliers or subcontractors [(other than by companies in the same group as the party seeking to rely on this article)]; and
(i) interruption or failure of a utility service.

In the case of a Force Majeure Event or other situation in which the Office needs to reschedule or cancel, the Office will issue a full refund if the cancellation took place prior to the commencement of service, or a partial refund relative to the service provided if cancelled after commencement of service, the amount of which will be decided at the sole discretion of the Office.

Client Conduct and Behaviour

We will always treat Clients with courtesy and respect and the same courteous and respectful behaviour is expected of our Clients. The Office reserves the right to cancel any booking or service, including a service that has already commenced, in its sole discretion for any reason the Office deems a Client, environment, or other people or animal within that said environment, to be unsafe, aggressive or otherwise against the expected behaviours or ethics of the Office. Thank you for maintaining a safe, inclusive and uplifting environment for all.
